Cet objet se veut être un pont entre la gamme standard et la gamme luxe de Caran d'Ache. Les matériaux utilisés sont à la fois ceux des gammes "Couleur" et "Ecriture", bois de bouleau verni et alu brossé. À la fois traditionnel et technologique, j'ai dû trouver comment créer un mécanisme, simple, efficace et n'engendrant pas de coups de fabrication trop onéreux. Une sinusoïde en bois à la base du coffret, fait monter à tour de rôle les crayons sur une vague, vers le sommet, à mesure que l'on tourne la partie supérieure. La bague en dégradé indique la nuance de gris utilisée. Une version porte-mine à été envisagée pour des raisons fonctionnelles.

This object represents the bridge between the Caran d’Ache standard and luxury ranges. Here, the materials used for both “Colour” and “Writing” ranges were varnished birch wood and brushed aluminum. To achieve the message of being technological and traditional at the same time, I had to imagine a simple and efficient mechanism with a limited production cost. At the bottom, a wooden sinusoid, as a wave, pushes the pencils, one at a time to the top while turning the upper part of the box. For functional purposes, this project could be developed with mechanical pencils.
