Issu d’études solaires en architecture, le plateau NUNC-1 («maintenant» en latin) est le premier né de la marque NUNC, qui explore les ombres portées d’objets familiers pour donner l’heure de manière scientifique et ludique.
Inspired by solar studies in architecture, the NUNC-1 tray (Latin for “now”) is the first product from NUNC brand, which explores the shadows cast by familiar objects to tell the time in a scientific and playful way.
NUNC-1 donne l’heure civile:
- Celle d’été sur une face (pendant 7 mois)
- Celle d’hiver sur l’autre (pendant 5 mois)
NUNC-1 displays the civil time:
- Summer time on one side (for 7 months)
- Winter time on the other (for 5 months)
La forme et la danse des rayons horaires sur le plateau résulte de l’équation du temps en un lieu précis, synthèse de l’obliquité de la Terre et de l’ellipticité de sa course autour du Soleil.
The shape and dance of the hour lines on the dial result from the equation of time at a specific location, a synthesis of the Earth's obliquity and the ellipticity of its orbit around the Sun.
